# Luigi Farrauto

Luigi Farrauto is a map and wayfinding designer - and a writer. Co-founder of 100km studio, with Andrea Novali, he completed in 2012 a PhD in Design at Politecnico di Milano, with a thesis on cartography (Density Design Research Lab). He lived in Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi, Boston and Doha, mainly focusing on the design of maps and navigation systems. Since 2013 he is also a Lonely Planet Italy author, writing travel guides and reportages.
